Thermostats
To operate a diesel engine safely a thermostat, or temperature sensor, is required. Modern diesel engines have Electronic Control Module (ECM) which utilize sensors already mounted throughout the vehicle. One of these sensors detects temperature and relays the input to the ECM. In all cases therefore, the Ether Injection System will not be activated at those higher temperatures.
Quick Start provides two types of thermostats, a surface mount which has a 3/8 inch mounting hole, and a screw-in 1/8 and other NPT type for electrical applications. (See below)
In electrical units the ground interrupt opens at 100 F. and closes at 70 F. Other temperature ranges are available upon request.
For mechanical valve applications we provide the Thermacloz (see left). The Thermacloz will not allow ether to enter the engine at higher temperatures. This product is still in use especially in military applications. Contact us today for more information.
