To operate a diesel engine safely a thermostat, or temperature sensor,
is required. Modern diesel engines have Electronic Control Modules
(ECM) which utilizes sensors already mounted throughout the vehicle.
One of these sensors detects temperature and relays the input to
the ECM. In all cases therefore, the Ether Injection System will
not be activated at those higher temperatures.
Quick Start provides two types of thermostats, a surface mount which
has a 3/8 inch mounting hole, and a screw-in 1/8 or π NPT type
for electrical applications. (See below)
 In electrical units the ground interrupt opens
at 1000 F. and closes at 700 F. Other temperature ranges are available
upon request.
For mechanical valve applications we provide the
Thermacloz (see right). The Thermacloz will not allow ether to enter
the engine at higher temperatures. This product is still in use especially
